PROMOTION PACK.
inc: Business cards, Badges, Tags, Postcards.

I started to come up with interesting ways to promote my
prints. I designed some business cards featuring my website, blog and email address as well as a bold photograph of one of my popular fabrics. I made 30 badges , each containing a fabric swatch circle, which can be removed. Along with the badges with swatches I have also put together smaller bags containing a further selection of swatches which represent this project as well as my previous 'practice' unit. I hope that during the degree show, people will take the opportunity to take one of the above if they show interest in my prints.
As well as this the promotion pack box contains Inspiration postcards from my original ideas , a selection of visualisations and Tags that I hope to hang on my bags during the degree show presentation.

BILLY HECKENBERG

I came across these when i decided my prints could be used
for interior purposes. I researched further and found that they also design bags, including
hold all and clutch bags.

SAMPLE PREVIEWS.

I have started to put together my portfolio, along side my
fabric samples. The colours really come together once
I started to reorganise them more professionally.

PRINTS.
Experimenting with colour and print.
Photographic elements combined with colours that have been digitally manipulated
using photo shop. I really like these in relation to how
most visualisations appear.

POSTERS.
I decided to try and capture some large scale posters
that shows the prints as well as how they would appear on the bags.
I'm also hoping to present these in frames as a different way of
promoting my designs.

VISUALISATIONS
A few male visualisations on how I picture the bag to be worn
on a more masculine audience.
I think my bag can be used as a day to night bag, however the main purpose would be to protect any technology gadgets such as laptops and tablets.

MASCULINE INSPIRATION.
I started collecting found photographs of street styles.
It is becoming more and poplar for a man to carry around a bag, whether this
is a laptop case or an actual clutch bag. By introducing vibrant colours
to my collection of bags is something that makes them stand out
than ones that are currently popular amongst the male audience.

Fendi's 2012/13 Autumn Winter collection.

At first glance they appeared as handbags,
but the fabulous accessories are actually new iPad
cases from the Italian brand that blend
 convenience with style and luxury.

FMP
Final collection of bags and fabrics.
I started putting them in a unique order that brought out each print
individually , I also want to display printed fabrics which shows availability as well
as how each print works on a number of fabrics .

COLLECTIONS.
I started putting together my collection on my on-line
portfolio. I wanted to show how my two last units worked together as well as individual collections
I have definitely been inspired by my previous project in terms of colour and technique.
It's important that my collections reflect my learning agreement.
As my prints are bold and bright i hope that they appeal to my target audience.
This photo shoot was taken with a female model, however I'm going to do a second photo session with a male to show the appeal to both sexes.

PHOTOS
These are the larger scaled technology bags, which
would be used for Mini laptops. Or potentially a bag to store gadgets in.
I think the colours look amazing and really stand out against any other items of clothing
and definitely work well creating an identity within the outfit.

 PHOTOGRAPHING THE BAG.
I recently did a few photos of the accessories , this was to use as
examples, to identify scale and see how the bags look against a models body.

GLASSES CASES.
I decided to experiment with scale and see what other
products my prints would work on, glasses cases and glasses wipes
worked really well.

LEARNING AGREEMENT.

My final major project  combines traditional yet contemporary sophisticated design elements together, to produce unique pieces of wearable art on fabric.
The collection is inspired by colour and natural reaction which then assimilate into designs that connect with the fabric to combine femininity with masculine edge.

My aim is to produce a unique and sustainable collection for a Unisex, technology accessories range. The collection will be made up of Tablet sleeves, laptop cases, phone cases and individual Phone cases. Each Bag or sleeve has been digitally printed and hand stitched together to produce a high quality collection of art work. As well as this there is potential for my prints to brand out and be used for glasses cases and fabric phone cases .

In relation to my previous Practice unit, I am developing my digital skills further by continuing with the exploration of colour and textures. I will continue to research into current accessory designers as well fashion and interior designers who create uni sex products ,Givenchy is definitely a designer that works both trends of colour and accessories well and has inspired my collection greatly.

My collection is called "Decay is Beautiful". I want to capture and inject the beauty which can be found within natural surfaces such as Rust and peeling paint. The collection will all come together with a collage of unusual photographs and digital elements.

As a fabric designer i wanted a fun and vibrant way of show casing my art. By customising technology accessories with my prints is a great way of reaching the next generation as Laptops and tablets are increasing in popularity throughout work places , education and our day to day lives. As well as this a mixture of all ages can be seen using gadgets. Therefore I feel there is a gap in the market for unique cases to protect our Phones and tablets. The accessories collection is bold and quirky and is targeted at those who are trying to express themselves and find new ways of projecting there identities through style and fashion.

I am still working towards a uni sex collection that appeals to males and females. I am still experimenting with bold colour palettes which is something this is evident throughout both units. I have changed by theme from floral as i wanted to experiment with different imagery, however my techniques and concept are exactly the same.
As i still have a keen interest in manipulation techniques, I have collected primary and secondary images that my techniques can relate to more realistically.

At the end of this unit i hope to have a collection of fabrics that are suitable in scale and colour to be presenting in the form of technology accessories. There will be a selection of fabrics in a range of scales and sizes. As well as this i want to show the developments for phone cases and the larger ideas of portfolios and stationary collection as i feel my designs will work well within this platform.

My future intentions are to continue to produce digital designs that can be projected onto fabrics and materials for a number of purposes. I have produced an on-line portfolio in the form of a website. It gives the public and opportunity to see what i am currently working on as a Textile designer.

WEBSITE BUILDING.
ON-LINE PORTFOLIO.
I started putting together my on-line website that will also
work as my on-line portfolio. Having a website is a good way of promoting my work , it shows all my best work and art work and fabrics
that are available for order from the public.
I also plan to advertise my finished products, to give the opportunity
to purchase or contact me for future collaborations.
I have uploaded several collections that provide the audience with
images of my work.

PROMOTION.
I came up with some design ideas that I wanted to
use for my labels and tags.
I wanted to keep them simple and professional.
Below shows the ones I have decided to use , these will be attached to
my bags during the degree show just
another way of promotion my fabric prints.
Along side these will be business cards and personalise badges and swatches for the audience to help them selves to.

FABRICS.
I started to design prints onto a lighter fabric such as habotai.
This would be for the lining inside my bags, or for scarves , screen cleaners . Initially I would of liked to attach the light weight fabrics to the bags as an accessory , but its something I can work on in the future with various other designs.

PRINT AND PATTERN .
I have researched into the use of pattern
and to see the importance of this on accessories.
I think that an accessory can make an outfit complete
therefore should be bold and vibrant.
I hope my collection of bags are capable of this.
I have used a range of colours and imagery
that will work well on there own and bring to life any outfit.
As well as this I want the collection to release
a quirky but sophisticated style.

MARKET RESEARCH
As well as researching into the type of bags females use it's important that i research into male trends also. Despite them being more limited than female there was still a large collection of male bags being used. Especially for laptops and work purposes.
Here is a selection of my favourite ones.
as well as taking inspiration from colours I have also focused on scale.
Givenchy was my favourite mens bag designer , the subtle colours and prints in the collection
were not only appealing to males but females also. Which is something
i want my own collection to have.
I am still working towards a uni sex collection and continue to research into designers
that work in similar ways.
Givenchy Man Clutch
MARKET RESEARCH
I did some market research into the range of clutch bags that are
already on the high street and the cat walk.
This has helped me to work around colour themes and sizes.
Here are a few of my favourite ones.
I have used this research to help develop my own collection
further in terms of scale and simplicity.
The template of my bag is a top zip clutch. I also
want to be able to express the idea of the bag
being used for multi purposes , this is why I have called the collection
a technology collection as I
feel it would work in a number of situations
and uses.

BAG COLLECTION
I have started to put together my bag collection.
Here are just a few. As well as this i have started branding my collection with labels and other
promotional examples.
One of my ideas is a collection of sample bags and badges. Each bag is made from cotton canvas and measurements are shown below :
20x30cm.

The collection shows a variety of colour and detailed imagery which is something
that i feel is captured well within each design. They all work well individually or part of a collection. As well as the bags i have designed a selection of 'screen cleaners' that
come with the laptop cases and tablet sleeves. This is just another way of presenting my designs and experimenting with scale and fabrics.

Moodboards.

Another set of ipad sleeves that work both for male and female customers.
I wanted the colours and prints to appeal to a uni sex audience.
The colour theme throughout this collection is different to my previous as there are
similar tones and colours throughout.

TRENDS
I started to put mood boards together in relation to my Laptop cases and i-pad sleeves.
This one is inspired by the Lime green trend.
The bag is a picture of 5
photo graphical elements which i then manipulated together on photo shop.
I also wanted to make sure my cases were suitable for technology and did some size testing.
Building up a collection...
I decided to build up my accessories collection and experiment further with colour.
The theme behind this collection was taking inspiration from rust and natural surfaces on brick and wooden surfaces. I then manipulated the colours on photo shop to create a dashing collection of prints that i intend to develop onto I Pad sleeves, laptop cases and travel bags and screen cloths.
My original concept is still to create a uni sex collection and i plan to experiment with suit lining and bow ties once again to collaborate with my previous collection of pocket squares and scarves.

DECAY IS BEAUTIFUL
Mt latest collection is inspired by rust and natural reactions to materials.
I have manipulated the colours in the same way I did my previous collection using photo shop. I have tried to enhance the colours and explore with unnatural connections within rust.
Here are a re few digital prints that i am going to print onto my Technology accessories collection.

As well as keeping in within the theme of colour inspiration I am also
developing the prints as a uni sex range like previous. Here are my strongest
designs so far which have elements of photography and digital manipulation.
